My art always begins in my imagination. I get an urge to express myself and tell a story. My story can take you on a journey, too. Sometimes it’s about a character that moved me with their actions and efforts in life. Sometimes I hear a song that takes me to a magical place in my mind. Many times the characters are built from the memories of growing up. Nostalgia creeps into my art as I share glimpses of the people that have molded me, moments that I just want to hold onto forever and so I paint them in order to share those stories with you.
